Trauma Focused-CBT, Its treatment goals and effectiveness

People go experience terrible occurrences in their lives at various times throughout their lives. These traumatic events have the potential to have a significant impact on people’s physical and mental health. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental illnesses are common among them. Trauma and abuse by parents or caregivers are especially prevalent among children and adolescents. It has the potential to have a long-term impact on children’s health.
These horrific occurrences can leave children emotionally scarred for the rest of their lives, leaving them with trust issues and a negative self image, causing them to avoid circumstances and people that remind them of the traumatic event. As a result, trauma survivors’ conditions deteriorate with time, making early intervention even more necessary.
